West Tennessee and Gibson County's abundant, available and skilled workforce is one of the many reasons that so many precision production shops, transportation and distribution companies and autmotive suppliers have located in the area.

The Gibson County labor shed, like much of the country, has recently experienced higher than usual unemployment rates.  Combined with the high level of production specialization in the region, this makes the Gibson County area workforce a prime opportunity for relocating or expanding industry.

There is a population of 385,000 within a forty-mile commute distance from the county. Over 42,000 of those individuals hold a bachelor's degree or higher and more than 200,000 have a high school diploma or higher.
